Every year I write a gift guide to help those searching for the puurrfect gift to give to the crazy cat lover in their life.
So I’ve put together a collection of toys, clothing and accessories that any cat person (or fur baby) would like to unwrap on Christmas Day.
1. Cardology 3d Cat Cards – £4.50
Festivities need not be just about the gifts – these super cute pop up cat cards would be perfect to send to your fellow feline lovers. And if you look at the detail, they are as much a gift as they are a piece of art.
2. Cat Toys – from £3.99
A gift for someone’s cat is pretty much a gift for them too. I really like this fuzzy pink fish from Pets Corner, but there are plenty of other silly toys to choose from so you could send them a selection, especially if their cat destroys things instantly.
3. Cat Face Mug – £8.99
Most cat people spend a lot of time wishing they were a cat (just me?). This cat face mug will help them along in their transformation into a kitty. You can pick this up from Find Me A Gift.
4. “i was normal two cats ago” sweater – £28.00
If your friend/spouse/Secret Santa has more than one cat, this sweatshirt is a perfect way to proclaim that they’re taking a one way trip to crazy cat town. Personally, I love the cute gold cats on the elbow and the interior sweatshirt material is well cozy. You can get this from Squiffy Print in either small, medium or large.
5. Bird Cat Teaser Toy – £18.99
Indoor cats can get lonely and bored. This automatic teaser toy is perfect for home bound kitties because it can be switched into “Play While You Are Away” mode so that it’s always ready for when your cat wants to play throughout the day. This toy chirps and wobbles which at first terrified my cat but then the bird quickly felt the swift sharp end of Mick’s claws.
6. Automatic Laser Light – £21.99
Another automatic cat toy from PetSafe. If you know a feline whose ultimate goal in life is to catch the illusive laser, this laser toy will keep them going in their quest. Once switched on, the toy shoots out random laser patterns which made my cat go bananas. It was really funny to watch – not so funny trying to stop him climbing the walls. But if you’re giving this to someone else, their ripped curtains aren’t your problem 😉
7. Cat Food Bowl – £6.99
Treat their cat to some fancy new china like this cat bowl which reads “If you can read, this I want more” once the bowl is empty. It’s made from thickened ceramic in a vibrant red which is much better than the standard plastic bowls most pets have. It’s dishwasher safe too. You can pick this up from Find Me A Gift.
8. Cat Selfie Duck Tape – £5
I looove this tape. I wish I was more handy or had more stuff that needed fixing so I could use it. If the person you’re buying for is equally creative/handy as well as a cat lover, this is the tough tape of their dreams. You can pick this up from places like The Range, HobbyCraft and Amazon.
9. Billy the Cat Wash Bag – £14.95
Billy the Cat is a character creation from Not Before Tea, a children’s lifestyle brand. Their collections are hand illustrated and they love the planet so they try to avoid plastics where possible and use organic fabric for their products. The wash bag is made from cotton and is coated in PVC so it’s water repellent too. I’m currently using mine as a make-up bag so it’s a decent size to store everything. You can get it here
